Buckhacker was born in 1886 in Minnesota. . Daniel enlisted in
Company H of the 25th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment on August 11,
1862. He was discharged June 16, 1865, as a private. Dan was
a farmer who moved to Minnesota in 1883 and to Nevis Township
in 1886. In May 1885 Nelson Bement enumerated them 36th in
Hubbard. In June 1890 Frank Rossman enumerated Dan, in general
ill health, third in Elbow Lake, but he received his mail in
Hubbard. On June 7, 1895, J. C. Bullock enumerated Dan's family
third in Nevis Township.
