Joshua Emmett Deputy is the fourth of seven children born to Sylvester and Esther Hudson Deputy.
In Aug 1805, he married Grace Mary "Gracie" Beauchamp. This marriage was blessed with three children: M. Esther "Kitty" Deputy, Mary Margaret "Polly" Deputy and Henry Deputy.
After Gracie's death in 1814, Joshua remarried to Mary D. "Polly" Woods on 17 Apr 1817 in Jefferson County, Indiana. Eight children were born to Joshua and Polly: Dr. Joseph Deputy, William Beauchamp Deputy, Solomon Deputy, Sarah Ann Deputy, James W. Deputy, Martha Jane Deputy and Elizabeth Deputy.

James Milford Fowler is the son of James Fowler and his wife, Millie Maria Stone Fowler.
James served in the 27th Indiana Infantry, Company H during the Civil War. He enlisted as a Private on 12 Sep 1861 and mustered out on 1 Sep 1864 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.
James married Sarah A. Officer Deputy on 19 Jan 1871 in North Vernon, Jennings County, Indiana. Sarah, James and their young family moved from Indiana to Missouri in 1875 and on to Nebraska in 1879. James and Sarah had five children: Laura Fowler, Harry Augustus Fowler, Charles Emmett Fowler, Anna Manlove Fowler and Sarah Lenore "Sadie" Fowler.
According to the Nebraska State Census taken 10 Jun 1885, James is a jailer and a sherrif. James and Sarah live at the Nemaha County Jail. Also listed living with them and their children are 2 prisoners.
On 8 Jun 1900 in the US Federal Census, James is listed as the Commandant of the Solider and Sailors Home in Milford Village, Seward County, Nebraska, while Sarah is the Matron.
James died on the 26th of Apr 1926 with Sarah dying just 3 days after on the 29th of Apr 1926.

Albert Frederick Magdanz
Albert Frederick Magdanz was born at Pierce, Nebraska, March 8, 1880, the son of Albert Friederich and Maria Dorothea (Strelow) Magdanz. His father, who was a farmer, was born at Braunsberg, Germany, in 1843, and died at Pierce, in 1910. His mother was born at Braunsberg, in 1845, and died at Pierce, in 1912.
Mr. Magdanz attended rural schools until 1893 and in 1899 was graduated from the high school at Pierce. He was graduated from the University of Nebraska with the A. B. degree in 1904. He became instructor in animal husbandry at the University of Nebraska in 1904, was given a promotion in rank each succeeding year until 1908 when he resigned as associate professor of animal husbandry.
He served as cashier of the Pierce State Bank until 1914 and from 1914 until 1930 was cashier of the newly organized Citizens State Bank of Pierce. He is now president and manager of Alsidon Farms, Incorporated at Pierce. He is a member of the Pierce Community Club, has been chairman of the Pierce Public Library board since 1910, and is a member of the Nebraskana Society. He is affiliated with the Congregational Church of Pierce and holds membership in the Masonic Lodge. His favorite sports are hunting and fishing, and his hobby is reading.
His marriage to Anna May Fowler was solemnized at Omaha, Nebraska, January 22, 1908. Mrs. Magdanz was born at Carrolltown, Missouri, September 23, 1880, the daughter of the late Judge James M. Fowler of Omaha. Their three children are: Donald F., born April 24, 1915; Albert Sidney, born March 8, 1919; and Elizabeth Ann, born April 7, 1920. Residence: Pierce.

Hubbard. In June 1890 Frank Rossman enumerated Dan, in general
ill health, third in Elbow Lake, but he received his mail in
Hubbard. On June 7, 1895, J. C. Bullock enumerated Dan's family
third in Nevis Township.
