This may have been his second wife and maybe she had died by the 1850 Cen.

Additional: There is a tombstone in the Gladney-Reeves Cemetery in Medon, Madison Co, Tennessee as follows: Carie Warren wife of Mauldin Reeves died Mar. 28, 1843 age 55 years.

Burial: Gladney-Reeves Cemetery near Medon, Madison Co, Tennessee.

Note: A newspaper clipping from a Madison County paper said Mauldin died at the home of his daughter and son-in-law David Parker on Nov. 7, 1873. I am not sure which date is right.
