On Friday a farmer named John Oooderich,
l i v i n g in Kahlua, came to the city in search of a
hone that had been stolen from him, and which
he thought had been sold by the thief in Syracuse.
With Deputy Sheriff Van Eppe he
searched the First ward and finally succeeded
In finding the missing animal In the stable of
Jacob Heagle. Mr. Heagle said he had taken
the horse from a stranger In exchange for another,
and described the unknown man, whom the
searchers are thought to have recognized as a
Cortland man. Further action will be taken In
the matter by Mr. Oooderich.

Andrew had been blind for several years at the time of his death, at least since 1890. The December 15, 1890 edition of the Oswego Palladium Times refers to a benefit held in Caughdenoy, NY to raise funds for Andrew, who is referred to kindly. The patron and organizer is Mr. Bert Shears.
