Pricing FAQ:

How much will my show cost?

The standard cost for a show is $3000. This includes unlimited rewrites and up to 5 songs. BUT...We also will work with your program's budget as best we can. It is the designer's mission to improve the marching arts for all schools, not to bankrupt your program. Call or email for a consulation and to negotiate an exact fee.

What does unlimited rewrites mean?

Unlimited rewrites means unlimited rewrites. This means that if you have personnel changes, you can contact Kate and she will adjust the drill as necessary. If you are unhappy with a particular part of the drill, this can be rewritten too. Most rewrites occur in the first few weeks of the season to make sure students have time to learn the new drill. You should be happy with the product you have purchased.

Can I also get music arranged/composed?

We would be happy to help you with all of your design needs. Custom drill and music packages will be priced individually. Please call or email for a quote.

Other Information:

What should I have ready for the designer?

Before the drill is written you should give scores and some kind of recording or MIDI file to the designer along with your "final" numbers (how many of each instrument) and any information about guard equipment and staging (or contact info for your guard writer). First time clients should also send along a recent video of the group.

Why do you need these things?

The score is VERY important to make sure instruments are staged appropriately and to allow the designer to engage in score study. The recording will be synched to the drill so that you can "see and hear" the show before it is ever marched. This also helps the designer "see" the music to write. The guard information is to make sure that your staging is appropriate for the equipment being used. The video is to allow the designer to get a sense for the abilities of your group so that the writing and show design is attainable and plays to your strengths while still stretching your group.
